Is TMJ Covered By Insurance?

Is TMJ covered by insurance? Oh, boy, I love this one. Used to be, nobody covered it. It was still young.

Now it's become so prevalent and popular. More and more insurance companies are covering splint treatment. That's what you call it - splint treatment - if it's a tooth problem. You need to ask your insurance company why they won't cover it. If they say they won't cover it because it's a real problem.

Also, we're having a more globalist look at the head and the mouth and throat and jaw and the teeth. The insurance company should cover it because it can be an apnea problem. A vaulted palate problem. A nasal restriction problem. Sleep problems. It's all coming together in a working ball of interdisciplinary treatments.

And insurance companies should cover those kinds of things so ask your insurance company about it.
