Why are veneers so expensive? Really, they're the same price in my office as a crown is. They should be more than a crown in reality because they're very technique sensitive, you have to do a lot of pre-work before you do them, and you have to be very careful when you're putting them on.

Once you get them on and they're right, they're going to be there permanently for a long time. Depending on the way you treat them, how clean you keep them, if you brucks or clench or grind your teeth, they're not going to last as long.

But I have some that come off every five to ten years (which is rare) and I have some that have been there for over 20 years. So it's like anything, you get a nice car, you wax it. You get a clunker (and you don't take care of it), it's going to turn into nothing.
